Virtual Easter Dinner

A Socially Distant Dinner

We have been practicing social distancing for weeks and with the holidays approaching, we all need to break up the monotony. The Goddesses have a suggestion - what about a virtual dinner!? A three-course Easter dinner replete with an appetizer, a main course and a dessert to share with family or friends. Invite your fellow (virtual) diners to prepare the same meal and enjoy the feast together.

We are all missing camaraderie and support from fellow humans. Phone calls and Face Time are essential for staying connected, but let’s do something different.  Start with an Easter Dinner and do it right from soup to nuts - Easter decorations,  a fancy tablecloth, the good dishes, proper cutlery, wine glasses, water glasses, candles and flowers.  Let’s dress for the occasion - take off those sweats and pajamas (yes, even the elastic waste pants) and put on something you would wear to an actual Easter Dinner.

Stay at home orders … for those of you who were never into cooking, you must be viewing it in a different light.  Remember - food is what nourishes the body and comforts the soul. Cooking can be a way to pass the time or to relax while using your creativity.  Dinner is a time to exchange thoughts and to share joy.  A virtual dinner is an opportunity to learn how others are dealing with the current situation, share funny stories, and boost each other’s moods.

Below are some meal ideas, if you want more check out the recipes in The Chocolate Goddess, The Gourmet Goddesses and, for quicker meals, Goddess on Go.  For old school recipe lovers, there are two Gourmet Goddess books available on Amazon,  “Divinely Delicious” and “Heavenly Delights,” as well as, a Chocolate Goddess cookbook, “Luxurious Chocolate Desserts to Arouse the Goddess in All of Us.”  The books are full of delicious menu ideas and beautiful pictures that will inspire you.
