New York Style Crumb Cake Topping Ingredients
8 tablespoons Cold Butter cubed
2 cups All Purpose Flour
½ cup Light Brown Sugar
½ cup Granulated Sugar
2/3 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
3 dashes Ground Nutmeg
Apple Spice Cobbler Ingredients
1/3 cup of Dried Raisins
Black Rum to cover raisins
4 cans (60 ounces) Duncan Hines Comstock More Fruit Apple Pie Filling
16 tablespoons Butter
PAM Baking Spray
Apple Cobbler with Crumb Topping Instructions
Soak raisins in enough black rum to cover them for about 2 hours before baking at room temperature.
Make crumb topping by Crumb Topping by combining butter, flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg by cutting ingredients together with a pastry blender or fork until crumbs form and refrigerate.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Remove crumb mixture from refrigerator and set aside.
Spray a 9 x 13 glass pan with baking spray.
Drain any excess rum from raisins.
Toss the apple slices and raisins together
Spoon evenly into baking pan.
Top apples and raisins with crumbs.
Place in oven to bake for 30 – 45 minutes until crumbs are lightly golden brown and apples are bubbling.
Let set at room temperature until cool enough to eat.
Dust with powdered sugar.
Spoon into bowls and top with ice cream or whipped cream.
Cobbler can be refrigerated. You may rewarm cobbler slightly microwave before serving.
